PT Pertamina EP Cepu Working on Jambaran Tiung Biru Project With Focus On Work Safety

Jakarta - PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PT Pertamina EP Cepu) part of Subholding Upstream Pertamina (SHU) led by PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) held a Virtual Management Walkthrough (MWT) activity to the Jambaran-Tiung Biru (JTB) Unitization Field Gas Development Project in Bojonegoro , East Java on Monday (15/02).
PT Pertamina EP Cepu President Director Awang Blueuardi conveyed several milestones during 2020. One of them is the achievement of more than 29 million safe working hours in the JTB project. The safe working hours, which have almost touched the 30 million mark, should be maintained so that this project can run safely. In addition, in 2020 PT Pertamina EP Cepu has also completed drilling in all of its wells well and successfully, with encouraging time and cost efficiency. "Well testing all the wells the results are quite satisfactory. As of today, the JTB project as a whole has reached 88 percent,” said Awang.
Awang added that PT Pertamina EP Cepu management's commitment to the safety aspect is the main thing. "There are no important company business objectives where operations can override HSSE aspects. Hopefully this will always be internalized by the entire PT Pertamina EP Cepu team so that all parties are able to carry out this project safely and successfully," said Awang.
Awang also conveyed that the remaining gas allocation will be produced by JTB. Until now, PT Pertamina EP Cepu continues to carry out intensive communication with various parties related to the remaining gas allocation. It is hoped that in the future all of the existing gas potentials can be utilized optimally so that productivity and efficiency can be achieved.
On the same occasion the Director of Operations of PHE, Taufik Adityawarman, expressed his appreciation to the entire PT Pertamina EP Cepu Team for implementing strict health protocols during the pandemic. In addition, the PEC Team is also considered to have an active role in maintaining national energy security, by making the best contribution to the country.
"A big thank you and appreciation to the officers who remain productive during this pandemic and keep their commitment to obeying and complying with the policies of both the government and companies in an effort to maintain safety," concluded Taufik.
The first virtual MWT in 2021, management conducts interactive communication with workers in the field such as GPF and drilling areas. In addition to PT Pertamina EP Cepu management, the Board of Commissioners and Directors of PHE Subholding Upstream, Director of PT Elnusa, Tbk and representatives of Pertamina EP Management were also present.
