PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC), a subsidiary of Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, is strongly committed to sustainability performance in its exploration and production activities across the country to produce oil and natural gas as the driving energy for Indonesia's development and economy.

In 2020, Pertamina (Persero) underwent a Holding – Subholding transformation. A year later, Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) implemented regionalization, and PEPC was entrusted with operating areas in Central Java, East Java, Madura, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Southwest Papua.

Currently, there are 15 entities in Eastern Indonesia: PEPC, Pertamina EP (Sukowati, Poleng, Cepu, Papua, Donggi Matindok fields), Pertamina EP Cepu Alas Dara Kemuning (PEPC ADK), Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore (PHE WMO), Pertamina Tuban East Java (PHE TEJ), Pertamina Hulu Energi Tuban (PHE Tuban), Pertamina Hulu Energi Randugunting (PHE Randugunting), PHE Tomori Sulawesi, Pertamina Hulu Energi Makassar Strait, Pertamina Hulu Energi Salawati, Pertamina Hulu Energi Salawati Basin, Pertamina Hulu Energi Semai II, Pertamina Hulu Energi Babar Selaru, Pertamina Hulu Energi North East Java (PHE NEJ), and Pertamina Hulu Energi Marsela.
