In line with core values and PEPC ethics to preserve corporate business sustainability, PEPC use their policy of sustainability as one of main company’s responsibility.
This policy include initiatives which PEPC did to create a better company’s activity and strategy, moreover, in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and a sustainable economy.

Reducing Carbon Emissions to Help Address Climate Change
We are committed to reducing Green House Gas (GHG) Emissions through implementing energy efficiency, switching from fossil energy and utilizing renewable energy sources, and using low-carbon energy in all operational activities.
Programs that will make significant contributions throughout 2023:
- PEP Sukowati Field : Energy Efficiency of the Gas Turbine at CPA Power Plant with the Installation of an Anti Down Scrubber Filter (TERSADown) Unit (4,561.7 CO2 eq).
- JOB Tomori: Flaring Reduction with Steam Atomizing Technology (7,300.8 CO2 eq).
- PEP Donggi Matindok Field: Installation of Online Adjustable Choke in Donggi Matindok Field Gas Well to Reduce Flaring Gas (2,912.8 CO2 eq).
Work safety
Safety is more than a priority for us, one that we will not compromise on for any reason. Ensuring that workers have a safe and healthy working environment is fundamental to their well-being and fundamental to human rights.
Our principle is that every worker and contractor at our locations must be able to return home safely. To achieve the goal of "Zero Fatalities" we implement the Safety Management System including CORPORATE SAVING RULES (CLSR), CONTRACTOR SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (CSMS), SAFE WORK PERMIT SYSTEM (SIKA), WORK ENVIRONMENT GOVERNANCE and HUMAN & ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE (SAFETY CULTURE).

Governance
Good governance is very important to create long-term business continuity. We implement policies and processes to uphold high ethical standards and promote transparency. Pertamina EP Cepu has obtained ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System Certification (SMAP). Management systems for safety, health, environment, quality and community commitment that are appropriate for all business activities. Pertamina EP Cepu has obtained ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certification.
