Supporting Climate Change Management, PHE Tuban East Java Conducts Universal Program in Sumurgung Village
Tuban- In order to support the sustainable handling of global climate change and the achievement of the international agenda of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) goal 13 Handling Climate Change, PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Tuban East Java (PHE TEJ) planted 1000 avocado tree seedlings in Sumurgung Village, Montong District, Tuban Regency on Tuesday (03/12).
The planting of 1000 avocado tree seedlings is an implementation of the Company's commitment to support the handling of global climate change through one of the Community Development Programs (PPM) in the field of environmental conservation in 2024. In addition, this program is also expected to support driving the community's economy through productive tree planting.
Present in the activity were representatives of PHE TEJ management, Sumurgung Village Government, Forkopimka of Montong District and local village community leaders.
Pjs. TEJR Field Manager Ari Setiawan through his representative said that this activity is a tangible manifestation of PHE TEJ's commitment in maintaining ecosystem balance while supporting sustainable environmental conservation efforts. “The Simultaneous Planting Movement to Save the Land (SEMESTA) is an important part of the company's social responsibility in preserving nature, maintaining water quality, and supporting the improvement of the welfare of the surrounding community,” he said.
Ari also expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders who have been supporting the smooth operation of the Company in the Tuban Block Working Area “With the synergy that has been built so far, let us support together the handling of climate change as well as national energy security,” he added.
In his remarks, Sumurgung Village Head Ahmad Roziqin expressed his gratitude and appreciation to PHE TEJ for implementing the Semestanya Program in 2024 in Sumurgung Village. “We strongly support this program and hope that the planting of reforestation with productive trees can be added again, so that in addition to being useful in nature conservation it will also increase the PAD of Sumurgung Village later”.
