PT Pertamina EP Cepu is the Biggest Tax Contributor in the Pandemic Period
JAKARTA - The pandemic continues to hit various countries, including Indonesia. Many industrial sectors have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic that has been going on since the beginning of last year. However, PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PT Pertamina EP Cepu) as Regional Java & Eastern Indonesia Subholding Upstream Pertamina continues to make a major contribution to the country through tax payments. Even the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT), Ministry of Finance awarded PT Pertamina EP Cepu as the largest tax contributor oil and gas company in 2020 with a value of Rp5.2 trillion.
The award was given by the Head of the Special Jakarta DJP Regional Office, Budi Susanto to the Vice President Business Support of PT Pertamina EP Cepu Fransjono Lazarus virtually at the Tax Gathering event, Wednesday, April 21, 2021.
On that occasion, Fransjono Lazarus expressed his gratitude to the Director General of Taxes who again gave an award to PT Pertamina EP Cepu for its ability to contribute to the country. He admitted that he was proud that PT Pertamina EP Cepu was named one of the largest tax payers in Indonesia in the oil and gas sector.
“This award is for us to continue to show the best performance so that it can increase oil and gas revenues. One of them is continuing to pursue the target for the Jambaran-Tiung Biru (JTB) Unitization Field project so that it can be onstream immediately. We also manage other productive oil and gas fields with the help and guidance of SKK Migas. This will have a positive impact on tax revenues and non-tax state revenues (PNBP),” he said.
Fransjono also invites other taxpayers to submit tax compliances on time with tax calculations in accordance with applicable tax laws and regulations, as well as establish good and professional coordination with the DGT.
“The contribution of taxpayers is very beneficial for the achievement of the current development of the Republic of Indonesia. The contribution of companies such as PT Pertamina EP Cepu also realizes "Healthy Indonesia, Increased Oil and Gas Investment, Strong Taxes" which is the theme of the Tax Gathering of the Directorate General of Taxes," he said.
In the award ceremony, the Deputy for Finance & Monetization of SKK Migas, Arief Setiawan Handoko and the Head of KPP Migas, Muh. Tunjung Nugroho, as well as other oil and gas companies.
