Introducing the Oil and Gas Project, SKK Migas Jabanusa – PT Pertamina EP Cepu Holds Public Lecture with UNUGIRI
BOJONEGORO – Oil and gas potential has become a very busy topic, especially among students. Oil and gas in Bojonegoro Regency is an interesting industry to talk about, especially in terms of student contributions and participation.
Seeing the importance of introducing and bringing the world of oil and gas closer to these scholars, SKK Migas Jabanusa and PT Pertamina EP Cepu felt the need to increase students' knowledge. This Wednesday, September 25 2019, SKK Migas Jabanusa held a Public Lecture on Upstream Oil and Gas Industry Management: Road To Giant Discoveries with Nahdlatul Ulama University Sunan Giri Bojonegoro, at the Vermillion Room, Hotel Dewarna Bojonegoro,(24/9).
With the speakers being the Head of the Jambaran-Tiung Biru (JTB) Project Acceleration Unit, Waras Budi Sentosa and also the JTB Site Office & PGA Manager, Kunadi.
Prior to that, Dimas Ario Rudhy Pear as SKK Migas Jabanusa Business Support Specialist conveyed that the purpose of the activity was to provide a correct understanding of the upstream oil and gas industry and increase knowledge and insight for each UNUGIRI student so that they understand the management of the upstream oil and gas industry in Indonesia.
"Especially because in Bumi Bojonegoro, there are Oil and Gas Projects which are National Strategic Projects, such as the Jambaran-Tiung Biru Unitization Field Gas Development Project and there are also Banyu Urip Field Projects, Sukowati Fields and others," he added.
Waras Budi Sentosa, as the Head of the JTB Project Acceleration Unit, gave an explanation regarding the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry Activities in Indonesia. “The One-Stop Licensing Mechanism aims to synchronize the licensing of the upstream oil and gas industry in Indonesia. As long as it is still in the territory of the state, it is still the state authority to manage it. As long as investors enter, it will reduce state investment. However, we at SKK Migas will continue to maintain energy sovereignty. So never worry about energy sovereignty.” Add Sane when answering questions from students.
Meanwhile, from PT Pertamina EP Cepu, material regarding the millennial generation and the development of the Jambaran-Tiung Biru Project was delivered by Kunadi, as JTB Site Office & PGA Manager of PT Pertamina EP Cepu.
Kunadi emphasized the role of the millennial generation in the upstream oil and gas industry. “They like to work, are agile, but get bored easily.” he said.
Kunadi also explained that Pertamina is also one of the oil and gas companies in Indonesia, it also has subsidiaries engaged in the downstream oil and gas industry, such as refineries and also BBM. Regarding fuel standards, such as gasoline and diesel, they are in accordance with international standards. For new vehicles, it should be able to use good fuel as well, so adjust accordingly.
Pertamina also produces green diesel, green avtur and green gasoline. This fuel uses palm oil as raw material. Environmentally friendly is beneficial for maintaining energy sustainability in Indonesia by increasing the oil industry, especially innovating with natural raw materials.
"Regarding JTB, it has a gas content of 2.5 trillion cubic feet (TCF). Currently working on the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Gas Processing Facility (GPF) Project. The GPF EPC project functions to produce gas and condensate from the Jambaran-Tiung Biru Unitization Field with an average raw gas production of 315 MMSCFD and an onstream/commercial gas target in 2021 with gas sales of 192 MMSCFD. The GPF that will be built uses technology and is designed to get operational reliability and is environmentally friendly for 25 years of production,” explained Kunadi.
This public lecture was attended by more than 250 students from Nahdlatul Ulama University Sunan Giri Bojonegoro from the Faculty of Science and Technology. UNUGIRI Chancellor, Dr. H. Ridwan Hambali, Lc. The Supreme Court expressed its gratitude and gratitude, because SKK Migas Jabanusa and PT Pertamina EP Cepu were pleased to increase the knowledge of UNUGIRI students, especially knowledge in the oil and gas field.
