Improving HSE Excellence, PT Pertamina EP Cepu Wins an Award from SKK Migas

SURABAYA – PT. Pertamina EP Cepu (PT Pertamina EP Cepu) won the HSE Award from the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) in the 2019 Oil and Gas Operation Support Division Forum which was held in Surabaya City on Wednesday, (26/6/2019) . This award was given to PT Pertamina EP Cepu as one of the KKKS which in carrying out its business processes have been in accordance with the principles of K3, including having succeeded in maintaining the performance of health, safety and environmental protection in its operations in 2018.

The award was given by the Deputy of Operations of SKK Migas, Fatar Yani Abdurrahman to the President Director of PT Pertamina EP Cepu Jamsaton Nababan.

“We interpret this award not only as an appreciation of SKK Migas, but also as a motivation to continue to maintain our commitment to achieve HSSE Excellence for PT Pertamina EP Cepu. During 2018, the Total Recordable Injury Rate (TRIR) was well below the tolerance, which was “0” . We have also achieved 3,361,558 Safe Work during 2018. PT Pertamina EP Cepu also always complies with K3LL and Security Laws and Regulations and uses appropriate technology according to National and International Standards,” said Jamsaton.

In this award, PT Pertamina EP Cepu was ranked 3rd best in the Occupational Safety Performance category. This HSE performance assessment is carried out on all Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) and is in line with the SKK Migas tagline, namely towards Zero Incident.

The 2019 Oil and Gas Operations and Safety Support Division Forum was organized by SKK Migas and KKKS by combining three forums which were held separately the previous year. The three forums are the Shipping and Transportation Forum, the Airport and Supporting Facilities Forum, and the K3LL Forum.

With the theme Readiness of Oil and Gas Operation Support Facilities and Safety for Successful Lifting in 2019, this forum aims to establish communication between SKK Migas, KKKS, and stakeholders while increasing cross-sectoral coordination so that lifting operations can be carried out smoothly and safely.
