Surabaya (03/12) – The efforts and efforts of PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PT Pertamina EP Cepu) in carrying out the CSR program for the development of laying hens cultivation to increase the independent economy and fulfill the nutritional needs of the community has become an interesting story for many parties, including the media crew.
Based on this story, one of the media journalists from Bojonegoro, East Java named Tulusno Budi Santoso made coverage of the community program in the form of a photo story or better known as a photo essay. From the results of his coverage, Tulus submitted his work to the 2020 Pertamina Journalist Award (AJP) for East Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara (Jatimbalinus). After going through rigorous judging stages, finally the work that tells the laying hens Cultivation Program from PT Pertamina EP Cepu, Tulus received an award as the first winner in the AJP Photo Essay 2020 category at the Ballroom of the Java Paragon Hotel, Surabaya, East Java, Thursday (03/11).
According to Tulus, initially he was interested in the story of the laying hens cultivation program in Dolokgede Village, Tambakrejo District, Bojonegoro. Armed with his foresight in freezing moments for photojournalism, Tulus also takes pictures from the process of eggs in the cage until they are served on plates for public nutrition.
“I was immediately interested after receiving information about the PT Pertamina EP Cepu program, that’s why I wanted to be spacious and record the activities there. I thank PT Pertamina EP Cepu that with this program I was able to have the opportunity to enter my work into the prestigious AJP 2020 event and Alhamdulillah, I got number one. This is really an event to increase the competence of journalists in their work as well,” explained Tulus.
Meanwhile, PT Pertamina EP Cepu’s JTB Site Office Manager, Edy Purnomo, who represented PT Pertamina EP Cepu, presented awards to the journalists who were winners in the Photo Essay category. Edy explained, this year’s AJP is different from the previous AJP. This year AJB is divided into several regions. And for the East Java region itself, it is included in Region four.
“Hopefully with this AJP, journalists can be more professional in their work. And we also hope that the journalists who participate in this AJP will be more enthusiastic in increasing their journalistic capacity in the future. With professional journalists, it will certainly have an impact on the quality of information received by the public, which will also improve,” Edy said.
Next, the winners whose works were announced today will be included in the national selection of AJP. This time, AJP 2020 raised the theme ‘Sincerity to Serve’ which has been designated as Pertamina’s communication theme since the beginning of 2020. Pertamina invites press personnel to raise information about matters of service, concern, dedication, company contribution, openness, and transparency for progress. in the field of energy, CSR, fostered partners, empowerment programs, as well as the utilization and development of energy for a better Indonesia.
AJP 2020 itself is an annual routine event and is a form of Pertamina’s appreciation to the Indonesian press in providing their best works for the wider community. And this AJP 2020 has entered its 18th year.
