CILACAP – As a follow-up to the Quality Management Assessment, especially on Focus 4, namely Customer Focus, PT Pertamina EP Cepu visited the Refinery Unit (RU) IV Cilacap during the Customer Visit & Engagement activity, on (30/7).
The activity, which was attended by the Commercial PT Pertamina EP Cepu team, led by the Commercial Manager of PT Pertamina EP Cepu Yudhi Irwanto Herlambang, aimed to improve and optimize performance and customer engagement through consistent, effective and proactive communication management by involving related parties/functions, such as ISC, RU, SKKMIGAS and Pertamina Upstream Directorate. Their involvement is to ensure the fulfillment of lifting commitments in accordance with the Oil Sale and Purchase Agreement (PJBM) to customers or customers.
RU IV Refinery Planning & Optimization Manager Agung Suyoso welcomed PT Pertamina EP Cepu’s arrival. On that occasion, Agung explained about several things, such as the amount of processing capacity and configuration of the RU IV Refinery, namely from 348 MBSD, which is the RU with the highest capacity in Pertamina (33.2% of Pertamina’s refinery capacity).
Agung also explained the history of RU IV development from 1974 to the present, including increasing reliability, complexity, and optimizing Banyu Urip crude oil processing activities where PT Pertamina EP Cepu is one of the managers. Currently, in principle the use has reached up to 25% of the RU IV Refinery Feed. However, RU IV still fully supports the absorption of Banyu Urip crude.
“Although there are still technical and economic constraints in terms of the MM Banyu Urip process, in principle we fully support efforts to optimally absorb BU,” said Agung.
The PT Pertamina EP Cepu team also visited area 70 which is where all crude is distributed, and accommodated in crude tanks. Followed by a review to the Control Room to see the process of loading/unloading crude or other products. Then the group shifted to the Main Area of the Refinery Field, namely Fuel Oil Complex I (FOC I), Lube Oil Complex I (LOC I), Fuel Oil Complex II (FOC II), Lube Oil Complex I (LOC II), Utilities, and Residual Fluid Catalytic Cracker (RFCC). Furthermore, evaluation of the recapitulation of the results of the Questionnaire/Survey of Customer Satisfaction and Engagement is carried out.
In closing, PT Pertamina EP Cepu will schedule a return visit from RU IV Cilacap to the Banyu Urip Central Processing Facility (CPF) and the Gagak Rimang FSO.
“This visit is very helpful for PT Pertamina EP Cepu in an effort to meet customer expectations, as well as creating synergies and continuous communication between PT Pertamina EP Cepu and PT Pertamina (Persero) especially RU IV Cilacap in the future. We are waiting for the visit of RU IV Cilacap colleagues to the Banyu Urip CPF Facility in Bojonegoro,” concluded Yudhi Irwan Herlambang as Commercial Manager of PT Pertamina EP Cepu.
