Bojonegoro (13/01) – The Gas Drilling Project carried out by PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PT Pertamina EP Cepu) in the Jambaran – Tiung Biru Project operational area is nearing its end. Until the January 2021 period, Operational Drilling and Rigless Completion have managed to work faster than the target. The PT Pertamina EP Cepu Drilling Team managed to save processing time 56 days ahead of schedule.
In the world of oil and gas industry, the condition of saving working time is an achievement, especially when coupled with the achievement of no accidents or injuries at work. The JTB Project Workers have worked hand in hand with the motto Spirit to Zero Accident, and managed to achieve more than 1.6 Million Safe Working Hours.
This achievement was obtained thanks to the cooperation and hard work of the JTB team and all stakeholders, both energy, thought and technology used, as well as thanks to the blessing of God Almighty.
“We use the Cyber Walking Rig belonging to Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia or PDSI which is very efficient to carry out drilling with the planned Batch Drilling method. All of these achievements are proof that Pertamina through its officers is able to manage Drilling Operations at high risk hazard in excellence in both operational and HSSE aspects. Management support and all stakeholders, especially during the Covid 19 Pandemic, are also the key to the success of this Drilling and Rigless Completion campaign. Drilling and Rigless Completion Campign JTB Project is able to achieve operational cost efficiency of 11% and operational time of 21%.
Single Trip Perforation technology with long intervals of up to 800 feet and Smart Coiled Tubing (ACTive) Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) technology in high rate gas wells, containing 8000 ppm H2S and 34% CO2, which were carried out in a rigid operation for the first time in Indonesia with involving 100% Indonesian sons and daughters. I hope this technology can be applied to similar operations in other Pertamina Upstream Subholding Regions as well as KKKS throughout Indonesia which have similar operational conditions to the JTB field,” said Awang Blueuardi, the President Director of PT Pertamina EP Cepu.
Well testing operations up to a rate of 60 MMSCFD are also safe and conducive. All of this happened because PT Pertamina EP Cepu cooperates with reliable and trusted partners, as well as support from stakeholders.
