JAKARTA – PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PT Pertamina EP Cepu) held an event for the Handover of the Jambaran-Tiung Biru (JTB) Drilling Procurement Contract Amendment Amendment to the contractor, in the Banyu Urip-Jambaran room, Patra Jasa building, Jakarta, on 19/3/2018 The event was attended by PT Pertamina EP Cepu President Director Jamsaton Nababan, JTB Gas Project General Manager Bob Wikan H. Adibrata, other PT Pertamina EP Cepu management and representatives of each contractor.
PT Pertamina EP Cepu Supply-Chain-Management (SCM) Manager Fransjono Lazarus explained, after ExxonMobil Cepu Limited (EMCL) was no longer a partner in the JTB project, PT Pertamina EP Cepu continued the contract process with contractors who had joined since the beginning. The process of making the novation of the JTB project contract is carried out by the SCM function after going through the re-negotiation & efficiency stages. The contract contains, among others, the issuance of the need for drilling the Kedung Keris well and continuing the scope of work for six wells in JTB.
PT Pertamina EP Cepu President Director Jamsaton Nababan emphasized that by submitting the contract novation to the contractor, PT Pertamina EP Cepu has completed one milestone. “PT Pertamina EP Cepu and contractors are partners, we are in the same boat to go to the same port. Therefore, in the future, it is hoped that the cooperation between PT Pertamina EP Cepu and partners should be better so that all difficulties can be overcome together so that the JTB project can be realized according to the plan,” he said.
The event closed with the submission of amendments/novations to the JTB project drilling procurement contract by Jamsaton Nababan for 16 contractors which was symbolically accepted by Richard Wiluan, a representative from PT Citra Tubindo and Mulyono, a representative from PT Imeco.
