At the end of this year, PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PT Pertamina EP Cepu) was again able to win the Gold Rank award in the Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating (ASRRAT) 2020 event organized by the National Center for Sustainability Reporting (NCSR) and the Institute of Certified Sustainability Practitioners (ICSP). The award presentation was held on Wednesday (16/12) online.
This award is proud for PT Pertamina EP Cepu who received it, because this award was attended by 44 companies from various countries in Asia. This 2020 ASRRAT award is the third time PT Pertamina EP Cepu has received, previously PT Pertamina EP Cepu also received the ASRRAT award twice, namely in 2017 and 2018.
This certainly further demonstrates PT Pertamina EP Cepu’s commitment as a global class national oil and gas company and as a parameter for companies that apply business reporting standards and corporate sustainability programs in accordance with international standards.
“PT Pertamina EP Cepu always works with the principles of Good Corporate Governance in carrying out reports related to business practices and sustainable programs that are presented in a transparent and consolidated manner. This good work standard was able to make us again get appreciation for the 2020 ASRRAT award,” said PT Pertamina EP Cepu President Director Awang Blueuardi in Jakarta.
The assessment process in ASRRAT includes three aspects of the assessment, namely the economic, social, and environmental aspects of the company; environmental and social impacts of the company’s activities, as well as the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Minister of Research and Technology, Bambang Permadi Soemantri Brodjonegoro, who gave a speech at the online award ceremony, encouraged various companies in Indonesia to continue to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs even during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“This pandemic has changed people’s lifestyles. In addition, it must also be recognized that the environment is cleaner,” said Bambang.
ASRRAT is an activity to award awards to institutions that have successfully communicated sustainability performance to stakeholders through a sustainability report (Sustainability Report). ASRRAT is the third event, previously called the Sustainability Reporting Awards (SRA) and has been held since 2005.
