Bojonegoro – The month of Ramadan is a month full of blessings. Generally, in addition to fasting, Muslims compete to perform actions that can undoubtedly increase their reward, such as giving charity, feeding the poor and needy, reading the Holy Qur’an and so on.
As was done by members of the Patra Women’s Union (PWP) PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PT Pertamina EP Cepu) in the 3rd week of this Ramadan. Located in 2 (two) locations, PT Pertamina EP Cepu Jakarta and Bojonegoro Offices, PWP members carry out social services by providing donations and compensation for a total of 436 supporting service workers (TKJP). Symbolically, the handover was carried out at the PT Pertamina EP Cepu Bojonegoro Office, by Endang Sulastri Iwan Hamzah, Head of the PWP Central Level PWP Social Culture Division.
This activity is an annual routine activity carried out by PWP members in every month of Ramadan. What makes it special, this time the social service activities are carried out in the COVID-19 pandemic situation, where health protocols are still strictly applied. However, this did not dampen the enthusiasm of the PWP members.
Aliyah Awang Blueuardi, as the Head of the PT Pertamina EP Cepu Central Level PWP stated in his speech that this activity was a positive contribution raised from internal PWP members themselves and also participating donors.
“It is our collective obligation, as social beings, to protect the environment, to help each other and to help the community at various levels. On this basis, the Ramadhan Social Service is set to become a routine activity in the annual work program of the Central Level Patra Women’s Union of PT Pertamina EP Cepu.” Said Aliyah Awang Blue.
In addition, Aliyah also expressed her gratitude for the success of Social Service in both cities. “Alhamdulillah, in 2021, even though we are still in a COVID-19 pandemic situation, the Central Level Patra Women’s Union of PT PT Pertamina EP Cepu can carry out this very noble program in 2 locations, namely Jakarta and Bojonegoro.” he concluded.
Meanwhile, representing PT Pertamina EP Cepu management, Iwan Hamzah, as Senior Manager of Construction GPF & Pipeline expressed his gratitude for PWP’s positive initiative.
“Representing the management and also the recipients who support PT Pertamina EP Cepu operations, I thank you for the PWP initiative for carrying out social services.” Said Iwan Hamzah.
