Bojonegoro (21/03/2020) – In an effort to prevent the further spread of the Corona Virus or Covid-19, PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PT Pertamina EP Cepu) sprayed disinfectant in several of its office locations. As was done at the PT Pertamina EP Cepu Head Office, Patra Jasa, the Field Office located in Bojonegoro, as well as at the location of the EPC Gas Processing Facility (GPF).

This spraying activity was carried out on Saturday, March 21, 2020, in collaboration with Office managers, from the management of Patra Jasa Office Tower, management of The Residence and management of the Industrial Engineering Consortium – Japan Gas Corporation – Japan Gas Indonesia (RJJ).

Spraying officers who are equipped with personal protective equipment such as plastic coveralls, masks, gloves, headgear, safety glasses and safety shoes do the spraying in meeting rooms, work rooms, cubicles or workstations, car and motorcycle parking lots, security officers’ rooms, pantry, mosque and various other rooms.

“We also do spraying in meeting rooms, sports rooms, driver shelters. We even do it on site, like in the GPF Project. This is our initiative in preventing the expansion of the spread of Covid-19.” said Edy Purnomo, PT Pertamina EP Cepu Assistant Field Relations Manager.

“In accordance with the PT Pertamina (Persero) Circular, the Decree of the President Director and also the appeal from the Regional Leadership regarding the impact of Covid-19 on the community, PT Pertamina EP Cepu has taken this precaution so that our workers avoid the transmission of Covid-19.

“For spraying, we do it from 15.00 WIB to 17.00 WIB. And we plan to do it regularly.” Add Edy.

Overall, the preventive steps taken by PT Pertamina EP Cepu in anticipating the spread of the Covid-19 virus include inviting workers to care about personal hygiene and health by paying attention to the surrounding environment, which is outlined in the form of pamphlets and bulletins. In addition, it also screens workers who are rotating or going in and out of the project area, taking body temperature measurements, distributing hand sanitizers and multivitamins to workers, as well as implementing working from home for workers who feel their body conditions are not fit, workers who are over 50 years old. and workers who are pregnant/breastfeeding. As well as increasing the number of facilities for hand washing placed in strategic locations in the JTB construction project area.

According to HSSE Manager, Defrinaldo, this implementation aims to avoid the risk of exposure to Covid-19 in the workplace.

“So if you feel unfit, workers should rest at home, and that is actually very helpful so that the person concerned can rest and recover his immune system. In addition, it is recommended for workers not to use public transportation such as buses, KRL, Taxis, Online Taxis and Online Ojeks.” he added.
