Bojonegoro (08/07) – The COVID-19 pandemic, which is increasingly spreading, has led to a high demand for sanitation and sterilization equipment in health facilities. Starting from PPE for medical personnel, hand washing tools as a support for cleanliness to get used to a clean and healthy lifestyle, to vitamins and supplements that aim to maintain and increase body resistance.
Departing from this, the Commissioners, Directors and employees of PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PT Pertamina EP Cepu) as Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) who manage the Jambaran-Tiung Biru (JTB) Unitization Field Gas Development Project, jointly participate in Efforts to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 in particular in Bojonegoro, East Java. The fundraising carried out by all PT Pertamina EP Cepu workers was realized in the form of assistance for 10 health facilities such as Puskesmas and Poskesdes located in five sub-districts, namely Ngasem, Gayam, Kalitidu, Purwosari and Tambakrejo Districts. The assistance distributed was in the form of 10 portable hand wash units, 1000 hazmat PPE, 500 boxes of latex gloves / handscoons, 500 boxes of medical masks / surgical masks, 500 bottles of children’s vitamins and 200 bottles of honey.
Manager of JTB Site Office & PGA, Edy Purnomo emphasized that all PT Pertamina EP Cepu workers took the initiative to raise funds as an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, especially in the JTB Project Work Area. This donation is also addressed to medical officers who are on the front line helping the community to fight COVID-19. Therefore, the need for sanitation and sterilization equipment aims to provide protection for medical personnel as well as the community. Other assistance distributed from this fundraising event for all PT Pertamina EP Cepu workers is compensation for 100 orphans located in the JTB Project Operation area.
“Since the beginning of the pandemic, PT Pertamina EP Cepu has made donations in an effort to support the handling of this health crisis both in Jakarta and in Bojonegoro. This time the donations were given to ten health facilities located in five sub-districts. Support in the form of Sanitation and Sterilization Equipment along with vitamins and supplements is very important. “It’s important to educate the public and also medical staff to always pay attention to personal hygiene to avoid various diseases, especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic like now. In addition, we also distribute assistance to 100 Orphans in the villages around the JTB Project.” said Edy when releasing aid from the PT Pertamina EP Cepu Office in Bojonegoro, on Tuesday (07/07).
Edy added that apart from being distributed in the Bojonegoro Regency area as the JTB Project Operation area, it was also given around the Patra Jasa Building, where the PT Pertamina EP Cepu office is located in Jakarta. “In addition to Bojonegoro, sanitation and sterilization equipment assistance was also provided around the PT Pertamina EP Cepu Jakarta office area, which of course also greatly felt the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic,” added Edy.
Separately, the Head Doctor of the Ngasem Community Health Center, Dr. Cahyanu Mardika, expressed his high appreciation and thanked PT Pertamina EP Cepu for the assistance provided. “Of course this assistance is very useful for the staff and medical personnel at the Ngasem Community Health Center in order to provide services to the community. In a pandemic situation like today, the need for PPE for health workers is very important, including in implementing health protocols,” said Dr Cahyanu.
