Bojonegoro, October 10, 2019 – PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PT Pertamina EP Cepu) held the Tajak Sumur procession or Spud In for the Jambaran – Tiung Biru (JTB) Unitization Gas Field Development Project in Bandungrejo Village, Bojonegoro. This activity was carried out on Wednesday, October 9 2019. The event was attended by the Head of SKKMIGAS, Dwi Soetjipto, Upstream Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Dharmawan H. Samsu and the Regent of Bojonegoro, Anna Muawanah.
The Jambaran-Tiung Biru (JTB) project managed by PT Pertamina EP Cepu is one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) that has been determined by the Committee for the Acceleration of Priority Infrastructure Provision (KPPIP).
“Tajak Sumur is our next achievement in guarding the National Strategic Project or PSN,” said Dharmawan H. Samsu in his speech. The Tajak Sumur or Spud In activity is a series of drilling operations, which PT Pertamina EP Cepu has started with outreach to the people of Bojonegoro, some time ago. This Tajak Sumur activity is in line with Pertamina’s vision as a World Class National Energy Company, where all activities in the JTB Project are carried out by implementing the principles of HSSE Excellence. PT Pertamina EP Cepu as the sole operator must apply and integrate it in every function and business structure. In accordance with the HSSE PT Pertamina EP Cepu motto “SPIRIT to Zero, Zero Accident, We Choose to Work Safely”.
The development of the Jambaran – Tiung Biru Unitization Field Gas Development Project consists of several scopes of work, such as the development of 4 (four) wells in Jambaran East, 2 (two) wells in Jambaran Central, construction of a 6.6 km collection pipe, construction of gas processing facilities or the Gas Processing Facility (GPF) which has reached 36.91% and has a capacity of 330 MMSCFD, the construction of a fluid pipeline connected to the Banyu Urip Field CPF, the construction of a gas sales pipeline of 11.3 km, the construction of a gas sales measurement station and also construction of infrastructure and supporting operations such as offices, warehouses, workshops, houses of worship and housing.
“This Drilling Operation activity has been started since September 2019, where PT Pertamina EP Cepu collaborated with Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia (PDSI) in this activity,” said Jamsaton Nababan, President Director of PT Pertamina EP Cepu. PDSI uses Rig Number 40.3/DSI 1500-E by involving 42 contractors under the control of the best Indonesian men and women.
Jamsaton added that work will start from the Jambaran East well site, which includes 3 new drilling wells, namely JAM-3, JAM-5 and JAM-8 wells. Meanwhile, the other 2 (two) wells are located at the Jambaran Central well site, namely the JAM-6 and JAM-7 wells.
“Other work is to re-entry 1 (one) existing well, namely the JAM-4 ST well by completing a series of production pipes that are H2S resistant,” concluded Jamsaton.
The gas production produced by the JTB Project of 192 MMSCFD will later be channeled through the Gresik-Semarang transmission pipeline. With JTB gas reserves of 2.5 trillion cubic feet (TCF), JTB is expected to provide a multiplier effect, especially to overcome the gas supply deficit in Central and East Java. PT Pertamina (Persero) is optimistic that PT Pertamina EP Cepu, which previously contributed 25% of national crude oil production through the Banyu Urip Field, will show its work commitment in overseeing the JTB project so that it is completed on target. The JTB project is projected to increase state revenue from US$3.61 billion during the production-sharing contract
