As a Holding Company of PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC), PT Pertamina (Persero) runs an integrated energy business from upstream to downstream. In its capacity as a holding company in the energy sector, in 2020 according to the Decree of the Minister of SOEs dated June 12, 2020, PT Pertamina (Persero) carried out an overall organizational transformation to form a Holding – Sub-Holding, so that in general Pertamina’s business focus is to carry out portfolio management activities. and business synergies across the Pertamina Group, accelerating the development of new businesses, as well as implementing national programs.
Meanwhile, a number of activities that were previously the main business activities of the Company will be carried out by the sub-holdings that have been formed. This sub-holding will play a role, among others, encouraging the realization of operational excellence through scale development and synergy of each business, accelerating business development and existing business capabilities as well as increasing capability and flexibility in partnerships and funding that are more profitable for the company.

In the organizational structure in the chart above, PT Pertamina EP Cepu is under the Upstream Sub Holding Organization structure. PT Pertamina Hulu Energi appointed as the leader of the Upstream Sub Holding which directs all upstream companies in Pertamina, namely Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR), Pertamina EP (PEP), Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI), Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC), Pertamina International EP ( PIEP) and 2 companies engaged in supporting upstream oil and gas namely PDSI and Elnusa.
