Visit by the Director for Upstream Affairs
Bojonegoro - To ascertain the readiness of the Banyu Urip operations at the Cepu Block Work Area, Muhamad Husen, Director for Upstream Affairs of PT Pertamina (Persero) together with Amril Thaib Mandailing, President Director of PT Pertamina EP Cepu and Perry Widyananda, Director of PEPC-ADK, conducted a field visit to Bojonegoro on 23 August 2014.
During such 2-day visit from 23 to 24 August, aside from visiting Banyu Urip, the Upstream Director, PEPC President Director and PEPC-ADK Director at the same time also visited the Alas Dara - Kemuning wells at Cepu, in the Blora Regency, Central Java.
On such occasion, the Upstream Director and the PEPC Directors together with Mr. Joko Nugroho, the Blora Regent, symbolically sounded the siren as a signal for the official re-entry of the NGBT 01 well of the Alas Dara Kemuning Work Area.
"I reckon that this area has a substantial energy reserve and thereby Cepu will be an important national energy contributor to the nation", said Muhamad Husen in his welcoming speech during the ceremony. Aside from being a very strategic asset of Pertamina, the start of the ADK operation was expected to represent a milestone in the awakening of the national energy, added Muhamad Husen, the Upstream Director of PT Pertamina.
The Blora Regent, Joko Nugroho, gave his word to be active and to participate by ensuring the continuity of PEPC’s operations in his area and at the same time fulfill any needs that may support the smooth operations in Cepu.
"Anything PEPC requires for its production and operations, we as the regional leader will be ready to assist and to facilitate in accordance with our area of authority ", said Joko Nugroho. He recognized the positive effect that the well operations will have on the Blora community and its surroundings.
