One More Step PEPC Completes Drilling of All Gas Wells
Bojonegoro (15/06) - The Progress of the Jambaran-Tiung Biru (JTB) Gas Field Development Project in Bojonegoro managed by PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC) is increasingly showing significant achievements. Even though the conditions are classified as difficult, starting from the world price of crude oil which is down to the health crisis that is affecting the whole world more or less indeed has an impact on the work of this National Strategic Project (PSN), but thanks to diligent efforts, hard work and measurable and follow the protocol health, management and all PEPC workers can be passed.
After completing the drilling of four wells in Jambaran East (JE) which includes JAM-3 wells, JAM-5 wells and JAM-8 wells, and completion of the existing JAM-4 ST wells, this time PEPC will start tugging wells at Jambaran Central (JC) which is marked by holding a joint prayer with the community and orphans / orphans at the Jambaran Central location, Bojonegoro, East Java on Monday, (15/06).
This joint prayer is done simply, and with limited invitation, and continues to implement strict health protocols. Whereas in Jambaran Central there are two new wells to be drilled this time, namely JAM-6 well and JAM-7 well.
According to the PEPC Drilling Engineering Manager, Bambang Purwanto, who was present at the joint prayer event, in his work on the trowel well, his party requested prayer and support from local residents, so that the process could run smoothly and safely. "We hope that this drilling can run smoothly and safely. So that the drilling work will be completed 100 percent in November this year. We have completed 60 percent (4 drilling wells) in Jambaran East, hopefully with prayers for community support, the completion of 40 percent (2 wells) drilling) in Jambaran Central can be smooth and complete according to schedule, "said Bambang.
According to Bambang, drilling for two more wells in the JTB Project is estimated to require another five months. So that in November 2020 drilling is expected to be completed in full. The JTB Project has a total of six production wells with a capacity of one well capable of producing gas on average around 60 MMSCFD.
In the same place, PEPC's JTB Site Office & PGA Manager, Edy Purnomo said a joint prayer event in order to invite the community to help support the smooth start of the drilling process in Jambaran Central. In addition to cutting cone, in this joint prayer, PEPC also contributed 74 orphans to orphans from the surrounding village. "We are holding a prayer together with representatives of citizens and orphans. Marking the start of our drilling work will be preceded by prayers, so that prayers, community blessings and prayers all of us help to smooth the work in Central Jambaran and the entire JTB Project," said Edy.
Meanwhile, Purwosari District who attended the joint prayer program expressed their full support for this work process. Purwosari District Secretary, Dyah Enggarini is also ready to help and support if PEPC requires support from her side. "We will be ready to provide facilities or support ease of coordination if the PEPC requires it. Hopefully this project can help improve the economy in this region and broadly Bojonegoro, "Enggar said.
As is known, the JTB Project has a capacity of 330 MMSCFD, and is targeted to produce 192 MMSCFD of gas sales which are channeled through the Gresik-Semarang transmission pipeline. With JTB gas reserves of 2.5 trillion cubic feet (TCF), JTB is expected to have multiple effects, especially to overcome the gas supply deficit in Central and East Java.
